And just like that, The Chief Transformation Officer Summit is over! Shout out to all our great speakers, sponsors, audience members, and partners for making it possible.

The Chief Transformation Officer Summit on 23 June 2021 was a part of the CXO Innovation summit featuring high-quality content from c-suite level speakers from global companies. The event also ran parallel to the Chief Customer Experience Officer Summit.

2020 will be talked about as the year where everything changed including the business trends. You can argue that it was the biggest transformation industries have faced, both willing and unwilling, in past decades.

The shake-up is not only limited digitally, which has been undergoing a revolution in recent years, but also in terms of personnel, organisation, structure, place of work, the list is endless.

At The Chief Transformation Officer Summit, we gathered the top executives from global companies to share with us their thoughts, pain points, predictions, advice and personal stories they’ve experienced so far. We picked the biggest trends and topics to include in our live summit, such as The Future of Work, Transformation Design, and Organisation Change. Each session finished with key takeaways, ensuring our audience went away with valuable lessons fresh in their minds.

Mike Hooper, Director, Digital Transformation (APAC), Opentext appeared in 2 sessions, a fully engaging interactive panel followed by an informative presentation later on. Not only did he touch on short- and long-term goals and the need in order to survive, he also identified looking beyond:

Many different areas and industries are being disrupted and needing to transform in order to survive the new world, no one is immune to this. The question now lies in how do we prepare for the next pandemic?”

The organisational change was another big topic. Chances are that almost everyone has experienced some sort of change in their working environment/structure/organisation. We were joined by an expert panel of 4 speakers from Tricor Group, Diageo, Novartis Asia Pacific Pharmaceuticals & Generali Asia who summarised:

· How culture change is needed to power the next initiative

· Be agile with your data

· With change, people need to see the personal benefit

· Why enterprise transformation is the more correct term

The future is often thought about and planned but no amount of planning could have prepared for what happened in 2020. Team collaboration and recruitment was turned on its head as every organisation faced challenges during and still continue to. How do newcomers grasp the business/team culture without meeting the team? How do you put a team together virtually? How do you take into the human aspect when trying to increase resilience? These were just a few of the questions answered during the session on The Future of Work and Preparing Your Team for Post-COVID Challenges.

Our audience took full advantage of the interactive panel sessions with over 50 questions submitted across the 8 sessions. The transformation experienced in the past year is arguably unprecedented but the focus has now shifted to the future and the lessons learnt will prove to be invaluable.
